Well, it's been a while since I've posted anything. My family has been in somewhat of an upheaval. Things haven't worked out for us recently and we've been in a transition of sorts. But i think the dust is settling and, with God's help, we will move on.

With that being said, time to move on. Lots has happened recently. Christmas was good. Our kids were blessed. I didn't get any physical things that I wanted but I don't really care about that. As long as the kids are happy I am happy too.

I'm just gonna post some news briefs that interest me so here goes.

One of things that I am really excited about is... .. .. . The New Doctor has been chosen. My wife and I big fans of Doctor Who and I have been following the story quite closely. His name is Matt Smith and he is the youngest man ever to be hired to play the Doctor. So starting in 2010, we will see a whole new show. Can't wait. And cheers to David Tennant for pulling off a wonderful Doctor these last three years. He was truly the quintessential Doctor.

For more info about the new Doctor, follow this link: http://www.gallifreyone.com/cgi-bin/viewnews.cgi?id=EkFEppVVuuScfpXBor&tmpl=newsrss&style=feedstyle

And check out the video of the new Doctor answering questions. He seems like a good fit.

  The Guild

Just finished watching the latest two episodes of The Guild. This show is absolutely hilarious. If you have been involved in online gaming, then I'm sure you would get a kick out of this show. They're halfway through season 2 and you can find them online at www.watchtheguild.com . This is the one. Check em out, tell your friends. Freeze ray.

  ----

Been playing some Lego with my kids today. Ever since I was in high school, I've been building spaceships from Lego, and it seems that I haven't lost the touch. I've attached some eye candy for your enjoyment. Latest model. I call it the Jackel. I dunno, I just came up with it.

  ----

Finally, just want to remind you to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. There is lot of crap going down over there and Israel is finally standing up for itself. Let's just hope they can take care of this terrorist problem once and for all. Anyone who blows up innocent children with bombs strapped to themselves are cowardly. And if those leaders of those terrorist groups had any sense they would strap the bombs to themselves and head out into open desert instead of brainwashing others to do it for them.

Anyways, I'm ranting. Cheers, and i hope you had a happy new year.

I'm in an interesting season right now. Without going into a whole lot of detail, I'm being forced to uproot my family of four small children and my wife and move to some place. I don't even know where. But I needed something to cheer me up. As most of you people might know, my favourite Artist is Sting. And the following song is my favourite song. I just consider that when everything around me goes to hell, I can always count on the fact that God never fails, and that's what this next song means to me.

  Enjoy

I must admit, I was hesitant at first to watch this video. It's from a group called Mediocre Films . While I am a fan of these guys' work, I wasn't ready to see this video. Their videos can be a little colourful (They have a recurring series called Retardid Policeman [correct spelling]) .

Anyways, I'm up late and just started watching a bunch of their videos, and this video came up so I just watched it. I don't know what these guys were thinking, but, i think, in their own, very unique way, they pretty much summed up how we feel about God most of the time. Whenever we want something we go to him. We ask Him this, we ask Him that. Demands, demands, demands. But when he requires something of us...

  Something to think about.

And enjoy the rest of their films at: http://www.youtube.com/user/MediocreFilms

The following article might shock you...

I've been doing a lot of thinking about our system of government these days, as most of you probably have as well. If not, then you... probably don't live in Canada.

I have to be brutally honest, when I first heard about this coalition, I jumped on it. I was totally up in arms about it. How dare these parties do this? Where do they get off trying to take this government down? I was angry and hurt. Does my vote even count? I got into a very pissy mood about it, writing to the leaders; sharing my frustration. Now, it is 1:00am, several days later, and I think my head has cooled a bit. If I was truly informed then I don't think I would have made the statements that I did. This is not about what is good for the country right now, it is about what is right. And honestly, I think we're all wrong.

In Canadian politics, as someone pointed out to me, we elect one man or woman. Just one. That is our local Member of Parliament or MP. It doesn't matter what party he is from. That is who we elect. Now, typically, the party who has the most members forms the government.

  Typically.

In a majority government, there is no argument. The winning party takes the Commons and moves forward with government. But in a minority government, it is up to the Governor General to choose either a minority government, or (wait for it), a coalition government. What those boys up in office are doing is not illegal. It may seem a bit shady, but they are well within their rights to do so. Perhaps the Governor General was a bit hasty in her choice for leadership. Unfortunately, it is happening for all the wrong reasons.

Stéphane Dion, current leader of the Liberal Party, saw an opportunity to rise out of his mangled political career and achieve the high office in this country. Making a pact with parties that have no interest in the well being of our nation and others that would try and spend their way out of trouble, he has probably achieved something no other leader has. He has brought some sort of shaky stability to the situation. I truly want to say Kudos to him, but he did this on the heels of an election, in which he stated that he would never form an agreement with the NDP, because their policies would destroy this country. He was scared, along with the rest of the parties, of the removal of public subsidies for political parties, which is something I do agree with (the removal of those funds, that is) . The Conservatives backed him into a corner and he finally snapped back; something I think Stephen Harper was expecting. He's trying to paint these guys into a group of crazy power hungry crybabies. And the country is falling for it.

I want to restate my position from before right now. We do not need this bickering. We do not need this petty rivalry. We do not need these political games. We need strong leadership and we need it now. Shame on you, Mr Harper for proroguing government. If you will not stand up to these men right now, then you need to step down and make room for somebody who will. And Mr. Dion must hand over his leadership to someone else. He has lost the confidence from his own party. Please pull out the log from your own eye first before you attack the specks, or logs, in others.

I definitely do not agree with the policies of any of these parties. I believe they are self-centered, biased and morally and ethically challenged. In fact, I didn't want to vote for the man who is my representative in parliament. I was not convinced of his policies and he still hasn't proven himself in parliament. There was no candidate running in my constituency from my political party; something that could have changed if we had electoral reform. Like I said before, we as Canadian citizens are paying for these parties re-election campaigns, while shutting out the other smaller, but just as valid parties. I want my allocated tax dollars to go to them. Why is that so hard? These big parties are trying to hold on to power that doesn't belong to them. It belongs to us. But we have become lazy and in doing so, we have allowed this moral incongruity to cloud our judgment. We need answers to our problems, and we need them fast.

Who is willing to step up to the plate?
